The most memorable vacation I’ve been on recently was to Dallas, Texas. I was extremely excited as it was the first time I was visiting the US. It was a short trip of only 10 days, out of which, I spent three days attending a convention. Though, I couldn’t do much in a week’s time, I had a great time exploring the local attractions and shopping.
The Dallas World Aquarium is extremely beautiful! I also visited the Dallas Zoo while I was there. Seeing a sloth there, which happens to be my favourite animal was the highlight of the holiday!
Like any other Indian visiting the US, shopping was my main agenda. The first place I went to was Victoria’s Secret and it was heaven! I bought a lot of dresses in various stores and a few tops too. Being a shoe addict, I naturally bought a lot of shoes and also went crazy at Sephora.
The night life in the city is pretty decent but I could go out clubbing only once.
Texas, known for its meats and steaks, barbecue sauce and Jack Daniels, did not disappoint in terms of food at all. But on trying the much hyped Cheese factory, I felt that the food wasn’t that good.
