Beaches are a refreshing getaway, hearing the word beach probably paints a picture of a shiny sun, golden sand and freshwater but not all beaches are created equal, where some are a perfect representation of a typical beach others are unique in their own ways.

Thanks to the efforts taken to clean this beach at times and ocean waves moulding the glasses that resulted in this wonder. The beach attracts thousands of visitors every year and is also famous for the annual glass festival. While you’re touring this shiny beach make sure to visit the International Sea Glass Museum and prepared to be wowed with the amazing display of rare and old sea glasses organized by colour. Taking the glass from the beach is discouraged so make sure to carry a camera with you.
Vaadhoo Island, Maldives
Vaadhoo beach is easily the most beautiful beach on this list, what makes this beach unique is the natural phenomenon known as bioluminescence, which allows the beach to glow in the dark the way it does. Due to its unique quality, the beach has also become one of the most famous filming locations around the world. Since the island is easy to reach and is connected well with all the transportation systems in the Maldives it attracts thousands of tourists every year. Apart from gazing at this mesmerizing sea of stars make sure to visit local spas and resorts.
Pink Sand Beach, Bahamas
Known for its pink sand beaches, the harbour island beach is not only unique but also one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the light pink colour is a result of a marine animal, foraminifera and it’s shelling which are red in colour and later crushes and mixes with the sand. Not only the sand of this beach is unique and amazing but the water is crystal clear as well. When combined the crystal blue water and pink sands, it adds up to one of the most picturesque beaches in the world. Vik Beach, Iceland
Throughout this list of unique beaches, we have talked about white sand beaches and pink sand beaches, although Iceland is famously known for its black sand beaches. The unique black sand at Vik beach also known as Reynisfjara beach is a result of Icelandic volcanic eruptions and basalt rocks.
