Robots can turn on you, a cyber security expert warns about the dangers of owning a sex doll for fear it could kill you.

Hacker could get into the dolls' heads and be able to control its every move.

"Hackers can hack into a robot or a robotic device and have full control of the connections, arms, legs and other attached tools like in some cases knives or welding devices," Dr Patterson told Star Online. Adding, "Once a robot is hacked, the hacker has full control and can issue instructions to the robot."

"The last thing you want is for a hacker to have control over one of these robots. Once hacked they could absolutely be used to perform physical actions for an advantageous scenario or to cause damage," Dr Patterson goes on to explain.

Dr Patterson is not the only one concerned about the development of robots. Recently tech billionaire Elon Musk warned that robots could one day take over Earth.

Experts are speaking out at a time, when sex dolls have become the new trend.

“In the future I think more and more guys will choose relationships with dolls,” said Yoshitaka Hyodo from Japan is quoted as saying by AFP, where the robots have become very popular.

Brothels around the world are purchasing sex robots which many of their clients request for. Some people reportedly pay more than Rs 6000 an hour for the doll, which is a higher price than a lot women working at the  brothel.
