A captive gorilla got a brief taste of freedom after guzzling down a few pints at the ZSL London Zoo recently. Kumbuka, the zoo’s alpha, was able slip through some unlocked doors before downing over five litres of undiluted blackcurrant squash.
With that much sugar in the ape’s body, it was no surprise that he was on a high while strolling about in the zoo. But before our furry friend could inflict any damage, he was tranquilised by his keeper.
Fortunately, he was contained in the non-public area and was back in his den in just two hours, reports Unilad.
