A tattoo artist from Brazil is being severely criticized by the online community after he posted photos of his dog showed that it had tattoos on its nose, ears, and near its eyes. Emerson Damasceno had uploaded photos of his bull terrier and its five tattoos on social media.

However the consequent backlash caused him to change his name before deleting his pictures; and then finally even his Facebook page. Damasceno claimed earlier that the tattoos were not for style and could protect his dog from getting cancer.

The vet rejected the claims and stated that they do not condone these actions.
