New smart mirror makes 3D scans of the naked body to track changes in figure

The device also called the world's first home body scanner comes with a smartphone app where scans are stored.

A lot of people are motivated to exercise and take care of their diet by a desire to keep their body in good shape. While feeling fit is a benefit of a good workout and healthy diet, many are also concerned about how far both contribute to their desired body shape.

People spend a lot of time looking in the mirror trying to get an accurate idea of how they look, and a new invention may help them gauge their fitness effectively. A smart mirror creates 3D maps of the body highlighting areas where the figure has undergone change.

The device also called the world’s first home body scanner comes with a smartphone app where scans are stored. It helps people keep track of fat percentage and muscle gain over a passage of time.

But there are also concerns about hackers getting access to revealing images of people although the firm says the data will be safely encrypted and detached from names of customers.

The process is simple as the person has to stand on a scale that is also a turntable which spins slowly as the mirror takes a scan.
