Doctor dies of dengue fever in Malappuram

The district saw two deaths from viral fever on Thursday and 25 more cases of dengue have been reported.

Malappuram: A doctor died due to dengue infection at Edavannappara in the district on Thursday. Dr. K.P Serena, who was undergoing treatment for past one week, succumbed to the infection at a private hospital in Kozhikode. 36-year-old Serena was serving at a private hospital in Chelari.

The district saw two deaths from viral fever on Thursday and 25 more cases of dengue have been reported. An H1N1 case has also been confirmed. As many as 3,033 persons have been confirmed with viral fever infection. 33,973 persons have sought treatment in the district on Thursday for various infectious diseases at different government hospitals.
