Malappuram: A doctor died due to dengue infection at Edavannappara in the district on Thursday. Dr. K.P Serena, who was undergoing treatment for past one week, succumbed to the infection at a private hospital in Kozhikode. 36-year-old Serena was serving at a private hospital in Chelari.

As many as 3,033 persons have been confirmed with viral fever infection. 33,973 persons have sought treatment in the district on Thursday for various infectious diseases at different government hospitals.
