Toddler suffers from paralysis moments before taking first step

He suffers from a condition called arteriovenous malformation where a misconnection of blood vessels causes them to swell

Parents with newborns always look forward to the day their baby takes the first steps and technology has made it easier to relive the moments many times over. Unfortunately, for two Brit parents their child’s first steps turned out to be nothing like they expected but they have taken it in their stride and are hoping for the best in the near future.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Charlie Fielding’s parents were excited just like any other when he showed his first signs of being able to walk on his two feet. While they waited each day for the time they would finally be able to walk straight, they were shocked to find him unable to walk at all one day in October 2016 because he had suffered from paralysis and that too without a warning.

Jamie, 37, and Becky, 36, from Angmering in West Sussex had to deal with heartbreak that their son will not be able to walk anytime soon. The boy, now two-years-old woke up in pain and was unable to move. He suffers from a condition called arteriovenous malformation where a misconnection of blood vessels causes them to swell and unfortunately that had put pressure on his spinal cord causing the damage.Charlie is currently on a wheelchair after his most recent operation and has returned home otherwise healthy.
