Celebrate Year of the Dog with Dashanzi at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu

Dishes curated to commemorate Chinese New Year will boast of preparations marinated and hand-crafted in homemade sauces, aromatic spices.

Mumbai: As Dashanzi braces itself for the big day, the festive feeling, the aromas of authentic dishes and the traditional Lai See envelopes have kicked in.

Yet again, Dashanzi at the JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu is delighted to celebrate the Chinese New Year with its patrons and offer unmatched hospitality experiences.

The progressive modern Asian cuisine restaurant under the expert guidance of Chef Cheang Chee Leong is bringing more to the table with introducing new signature recommendations for this festival that starts from 16 February onwards.

Most of the dishes are symbolic and Chef Leong has curated an unforgettable degustation of traditional recipes which will leave you spoilt for choice with a menu comprising of delicacies dating back to archaic traditional Chinese preparations known to bring good luck and prosperity.

The 19 dishes curated to commemorate the Chinese New Year will boast of preparations marinated and hand-crafted in homemade sauces and aromatic spices.

The guests will be in for a lavish treat as they choose from a variety of hors d’oeuvres like Jiao Zi Chicken, Lamb and Vegetable Dumplings, Crispy Chicken Tossed with Sesame Peanut Sauce, Wok-Fried Morel Mushroom with Prawn, Wok-Fried Egg Plant with Cumin & Spring Onion and many more mouth-watering appetizers. Whilst the main course will range from Stir-Fried Scallop with Asparagus XO Sauce, Steamed Pork Belly with garlic, fragrant Chilly & Rice Vinegar amongst many more.

While the vegetarians can dig into preparations like the Stir- Fried Pumpkin & Shimeji Mushroom, Braised Tofu with Asparagus & Shiitake, Wok-Fried Glass Noodle with Mushroom & Bamboo Shoot in Dou Ban Jiang and the signature Wok-Fried Hakka Noodle with Bean Sprouts, Shiitake & Chinese Chives.

To complement our chef’s delectable reveries, mixologist, Bensan Varghese will spin off a selection of fine cocktails, each inspired by the five elements of Nature i.e. Earth, Water, Fire, Wood and Metal. Bring in the cheer as you sip on some of these sumptuous concoctions specially crafted for the occasion!
