Gooey meaty treat

Actress Nabha Natesh shares with us her recipe for cheese pepper chicken.

Cheese Pepper Chicken

Ingredients
1 kg boneless chicken
2tbsp oil
1 or 2 onions, chopped
Ginger and garlic, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
4 cheese slices
Coriander leaves, chopped
1 tsp lime juice
2 green chilli, slit
2 tbsp pepper powder
Salt to taste

Method

  • In a pan add 2 tbsp oil and let it heat up. Add chopped ginger and garlic and black neem leaves. Saute until golden. Add onion and chicken pieces and fry until golden brown.
  • Remove the lid and add a slit green chilli, chopped tomatoes and salt. More water can be added to cook the chicken. Add two tbsp of pepper powder, lime juice and coriander leaves. Cover and cook.
  • Once the water evaporates, add the cheese slices and let it melt.
  • (This dish can be eaten by itself or can be had with toast.)
