Smoke House Deli: Meat lovers! Time for a \'rare\' treat

Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality city chef Saurabh Arora tells us more on The Big Meat-Up food fiesta.

Meat lovers rejoice! Smoke House Deli is back with ‘The Big Meat-Up’ annual festival of juicy meats, succulent poultry dishes and perfectly cooked seafood, perfect for those carnivorous cravings. Bathed in white with signature, free-hand wall illustrations in black, Smoke House Deli is a good place to be, for coffee, cocktails and everything in between. Food options include all-day breakfast, pizzas, burgers, pasta and desserts while our favourite is the half-and-half offering of sandwiches, soups and salads which is a great value meal full of flavours, yet light on the stomach and the wallet. The beverage menu includes ample options of cold brews, fresh juices, wines, spirits, and beers to suit your mood.

The Big Meat-Up menu of eight dishes focuses on a range of carefully selected meats and seafood prepared with the choicest of seasonings, rubs and sauces. Take, for instance, the tender Chicken Breast stuffed with cashews and almonds, served with a side of lightly charred cauliflower florets. The tender chicken meat has a deliciously smooth richness with every bite along with the cashew and almond filling. Or, the braised Sirloin served with a spread of tonnato sauce and jacket potatoes, a perfectly done juicy portion which makes for a hearty meal.

Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality city chef Saurabh Arora tells us more on The Big Meat-Up food fiesta. “This particular season’s emphasis is to use cooking techniques where meats are either poached or braised thus retaining the texture of the meat while keeping it soft and tender.” He adds, “Dishes are combined with interesting ingredients like the Bora Saul rice risotto which is served with duck breast and the delicately flavoured Barramundi in a yuzu dressing.”

Our other favourites included the mixed Seafood Stew served with seasonal vegetables, warm garlic bread and wild rocket pesto and the braised Lamb Shoulder with butterbean hummus and labneh. The portion sizes are substantial so it makes sense to go with a group of friends where you could taste and share most of the specials.

While we are at it, we would like to give you a sneak peek on Smoke House Deli’s new concept called Goodness To Go which recently opened at their Whitefield outpost. Here you can pick up health drinks, smoothies, salad bowls, cold premium sandwiches, wraps and baked goodies on the go or order all the goodness via delivery apps. Ranveer Sabhani, business head south at Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality informs us that the Goodness To Go concept will soon be at other Smoke House Deli outlets too.

Going back to the meat menu, chef Saurabh has ensured that he incorporates the spirit of the menu in the dessert section too. Here, we highly recommend the gooey Bacon & Oat pie which is served alongside a creamy scoop of Ruby ice cream.

* The Big Meat-Up menu is available until 12th December
