New Delhi: A slip of tongue by the Delhi Chief Minister, Ms Sheila Dikshit, on Monday had Congress workers attending the party's 125th foundation day celebrations in splits.
"I would also like to thank Jaiprakash Narayan ji," said Ms Dikshit, leading to laughter from party President Sonia Gandhi to party workers.
The Chief Minister soon corrected herself by saying that it was the Delhi Congress chief, Mr Jai Prakash Agarwal, she was referring to.
"Aapko hasana bhi tha, na (I also wanted to make you laugh)," quipped Ms Dikshit, who was delivering the vote of thanks.
Mr Jai Prakash Narayan is remembered for spearheading a campaign against then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, which led to the imposition of Emergency in 1975.
Ms Dikshit also made a special mention to Mr Motilal Vora, the party Treasurer.
"Without Voraji we cannot take a step forward," she said.
