Srinagar: The National Panthers Party on Tuesday criticised the Chief Minister, Mr Omar Abdullah's proposed surrender policy for militants who had gone for arms training in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).
"The chief minister has lost confidence and has been making undesirable statements on home and foreign policies which are out of his jurisdiction," the Panthers Party chief, Mr Bhim Singh, said in a statement here.
"His (Omar's) recent advocacy during CM's conference in the capital in the presence of prime minister to open gates for militants under training in PoK terrorist camps should be viewed as alarming. This has been made out of his utter frustration," it said.
Mr Singh urged Governor N.N. Vohra to invoke Section 92 of the state constitution to end the crisis in the state.
"People of the state have lost confidence in the present governance. Law and order has become the first casualty and administration has collapsed. Corruption has become the rule of law and no one feels safe in the state," Mr Singh said.
The state government's failure to bring murderers of two innocent women to justice in Shopian had provided sufficient ground for the chief minister's dismissal, it added.
