Snowfall in higher reaches of Himachal and Kashmir valley led to a further dip in temperature in the capital on Tuesday which recorded a minimum of 9.3 degrees, one degree below normal.
The minimum was recorded at 9.6 degree Celsius yesterday. The season's lowest of 8.6 degree Celsius was recorded on Saturday.
The Met department attributed the dip in temperature to snowfall in higher reaches of Himachal and Kashmir valley. The maximum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees on Monday.
The maximum and minimum is likely to hover around 26 and nine degree Celsius respectively on Wednesday.
The capital experienced mist conditions, reducing the visibility to 1000 metre in the morning. However, there was no report about any flight disruption at the airport.
Saturday's minimum, which was two degrees below the normal level of temperature at this point of time, was the lowest for the month of November in the past three years.
In 2008, the lowest was nine degrees C recorded on November 25 while in 2007, it was 9.6 degrees C on November 23. The record for 2006 was 7.3 degree C on November 29.
