London: Indian origin student Sree Dasari who was recently ousted from the British reality TV show 'Big Brother', was found in his room with his wrists slashed.

The 24-year-old student was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Friday after the incident, where he was treated for "cuts and lacerations." He was discharged and is currently under care of a psychologist arranged by producers of the show, reported the Times.

Though there is no clue as to what led Sree to hurt himself, reports suggest that he became upset after watching Noirin, the Irish contestant on the show to whom he had confessed love, kissing Siavash Sabbaghpour, a housemate on the reality show.

There is no suggestion that incident was a suicide attempt, the newspaper said.

Sree was found in his room at the University of Hertfordshire with his wrists slashed, crying for help when paramedics arrived and rushed him to the hospital.

A spokesman for the Channel 4 said that they had made a psychologist available to Dasari, who was voted off the show with an 85 per cent majority.
