92 test positive for swine flu in Delhi

New Delhi: Swine flu cases in the city rose to 5,007 after 92 positive cases were reported on Monday.

"Of the total 92 positive cases, 62 were children. With this, the total number of swine flu cases reported till date is 5,809 of which 2,877 cases are that of children," the delhi health minister, Ms Kiran Walia, said.

So far, 21 people have died due to the pandemic virus in the city, she said.

Ms Walia, however, said the situation is under control and the government is doing its best in providing treatment to H1N1 patients in government hospitals.

According to the WHO, India continues to report maximum number of cases of swine flu in the south east Asian region.
