Washington, Nov. 25: In his tribute to the martyrs of 26/11 while standing on US soil on Wednesday, a day before the first anniversary of the Mumbai carnage, and warning that he would “not rest till the perpetrators of the Mumbai crime were brought to justice”, the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, unwittingly used the one event that broke the ice with the Obama administration to great effect.
“This is a day of remembrance, of paying homage to all the innocent victims, the brave men and women who lost their lives in the worst attack our country has ever seen,” Dr Singh said in remarks clearly aimed at the international community tuned to every nuance of his meetings with US President Barack Obama. Dr Singh described his talks with Mr Obama as “productive” and “confident of continuity”.
