The Centre on Monday said that the committee on Telangana will be announced this week and there will be no delay in the whole process related to the mechanism.

"We are in the earliest part of the week. I said last week that early this week (the Committee will be announced). Wait for the committee to be announced," he told a press conference here.

He was asked when the promised Committee to discuss the Telangana issue will be announced.

"Committee and the mechanism are synonymous," Chidambaram said when asked the mechanism.

The Home Minister said the government was on the job of drafting the Terms and Reference of the Committee and would announce it. "Terms and reference can't be kept in secret. When we will draft it, we will announce and circulate it," he said.

Last week, Chidambaram had said the Committee to examine the demand for separate Telangana will be announced this week.

As a simple educated person I didn't understand so far, what is that unique great problem Telangana is facing which couldn't be solved in united AP and KCR is going to solve instantaneously in separated Telangana. Congress has muddled Telangana affair for political gains. Now Chidambaram is pursuing hidden agenda. If PC is genuine why can't he attend bigger and more pressing issues. PC is unfit to be cabinet minister for pushing AP into imbroglio.

It is high time that home minister P. Chidambaram is fired from the cabinet. He does not deserve to be continued in the cabinet. He had done enough damage to Andhra Pradesh as well as to the Telangana cause and the Prime Minister should not allow him to cause more damage. The people of Andhra Pradesh are suffering because of his statement on December 9 and subsequent statements.
