Hyderabad, Dec. 11: The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, has clarified that the Telangana resolution would not be tabled in the present Assembly session.

“So far I have not received any official communication from the Union home minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, over the resolution,” he said in a statement on Friday night. “If it comes, then I have to speak to leaders of all political parties in the House and then introduce it. The present Assembly session is too short and there is no possibility of introducing the resolution in this session.”

Meanwhile, the number of protest resignations by MLAs swelled to 130 by Friday evening. Out of 106 Congress MLAs from coastal and Rayalaseema region, 76 have put in their papers. Similarly, 40 of the 53 Telugu Desam MLAs have resigned and 14 of the 16 Praja Rajyam MLAs have quit.

Earlier, while addressing the Assembly, Mr Rosaiah said he had warned the Union home minister, about the repercussions of announcing a decision in favour of separate Telangana.

He also hinted that he had favoured a united state during his meeting with the core committee members in Delhi. “They (core committee) heard me and also those who wanted separation,” he said.

Mr Rosaiah said the Centre had asked him to move a resolution on Telangana but added that he wanted the Union home minister to ponder where it might lead to.

There had been widespread resentment in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions and students have been organising demonstrations in all the universities and the situation was serious, he pointed out.

While talking to mediapersons after the House was adjourned, Mr Rosaiah said that the home minister’s announcement on Telangana had triggered similar demands from different states in the country. “Unfortunately we have become torch-bearers of such agitations elsewhere in the country,” he added.

“Why do you force me to fix dates for everything? You leave it to me, we will decide at an appropriate time,” said the Chief Minister, reacting to a query on when the resolution will be placed before the Assembly.

Before the adjournment, the Chief Minister also hinted that the winter session might be called off in the wake of the resignations of MLAs and continuous disruption of proceedings.

“Please think whether we can run the House in such a tense situation,” the Chief Minister said after the MLAs of various parties who quit rushed to the well and raised slogans in support of united Andhra Pradesh.

The Speaker, Mr N. Kirankumar Reddy, adjourned the House till Monday when members continued their protest.

The Central Minister Sri.P. Chidambaram has announced that the formation of Telangana is being started. This statement has aroused many states, who are agitating for separate states have come to forefront and the issues are raising day by day in every state. Andhra Pradesh state formed in 1956 after Sri. Potti Sreeramulu has sacrificed his life. He has spent 58 days on fast. Then the Central Government considered the issue and they have given a separate state to all Telugu speaking people. This is the first state which linguistically formed. But now the same people i.e., the Politicians are rousing differences between the Telugu people and creating dialemma in the minds of the people, students that Telangana has not been developed properly. This is not at all good to them. The issue should be discussed in the State Legislature first. I think that most of the other states are rousing the same issue and law and order has been deteriorating day by day, the centre has not giving not proper reply. Further the Centre is trying their best to console the decision taken in respect of Telangana. The Chief Minister also should console all the Legislatures and also the Congress Parliamentary Members. The responsibility is more on the Chief Minister. As a Chief Minister he should appraise the day to day developments to the High command and receive the proper instructions. Soalso the PCC President Sri. D. Sreenivas. No body should talk about the situation and no MLA or MP should give press statements. The statements will create problems in the minds of the people. The Electronic Media is also creating problems with these discussions. This is not at all good to the state. The Government should control them. No doubt that freedom of press is there. We have to control the situation in an amicable manner. Every month one situation or another is coming to the fore front. The sudden demise of Sri. YSR, sudden floods, drought situation, now Telangana issue. The common man is sufferor first and the situation we can't imagine what will happen tommorrow. This kind of situation must go and we all wish peace will prevail soon.

The elected MLAs and MPs can no longer be trusted to represent the people. What should happen next is a ballot across the state so everyone can vote on one issue - to seperate Telangana or not and then the results of election should be adhered to. Hence, the important resolution to be passed is to have a special ballot on the T-issue and then give 30 days to canvass and then hold the special election.

Well done Lagadapati. AP state is formed based on unique historical events. AP is the only state in India with over 1 lakh crore annual budget. Neigher KCR nor Sonia can not split the state during their lifetime.

Why do you want Telangana to be part of AP when all Telanganite want a seperate state? Well let me guess, you want Andhra region to oppress Telangana forever, you don't want equality in employment opportunities for Telanganites. You want only Andhra people take all jobs and let Telanganites suffer. You want no water for Telangana and divert all water to Andhra regions. Shame on you, have some caring nature to other human beings.

Who all Telanganites? How dare you say all? TRS/TDP/PRP all were driven out of Telangana for their stance on forming Telangana in the 2009 assembly elections. Only few rowdy students and naxalites want Telangana.

90% goes to andhra and Rayalaseema politcians pockets
