Nagam’s attackers arrested

Hyderabad, Dec. 26: The Crime Investigation Department sleuths on Saturday arrested three people accused of being involved in the assault on Telugu Desam MLA and former minister, Mr N. Janaradhan Reddy.

The accused included one T. Srikanth Raju alias Nagaraju of Aravapally in Nalgonda district who is known to be associated with the Medak MP, Vijayashanti.

According to the CID additional DG, Mr A. Sivanarayana, the two others arrested were identified as Mr K. Venkanna, 26, working as a driver in Mega City Engineering College in the city and R. Sattaiah, 29, an autorickshaw driver and head of Talli Telangana Udyama Committee in Motkur mandal. The accused are natives of Nalgonda district and were residing in the city. They had contacts with political leaders.

Police said that though there was no conspiracy, the accused planned the attack instantly after they came to Osmania University. All of them came in separate vehicles and gathered at OU.

The police arrested the accused based on a case registered as per the complaint lodged by the TD MLA’s gunman under Sections 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapons), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 355 (assault or use of criminal force to dishonour a person) and Section 7 (1) of criminal amendment Act.

I am no fan of Nagam but any kind of violence should be condemned and miscreants must be brought to justice.

Hurting people and damaging property is a crime. People must make sure they send proof to the police department in the form of photos and videos and bring the goons to justice.

Are these guys really students - If not why are they in OU and How many more hooligans are doing this in the name of OU ?
