Hyderabad, Jan. 11: Several Congress leaders including ministers from the coastal regions are preparing a paper to highlight the growth potential of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions anticipating a division of the state.
Sources said the document would also focus on the creation of infrastructure in the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions. These leaders are planning to popularise this perspective once the emotions die down.
“The basic idea is to stand prepared and build up social and civil infrastructure in the non-Telangana regions rather than harp on an integrated state,” said a senior minister. The document will highlight the entrepreneurial qualities of the people of Godavari districts, Krishna, Guntur and Nellore who have already made a mark in the national industrial and infrastructure scenario, on the lines of Gujaratis and Marwaris.
The Krishna-Godavari basin gas reserves are expected to turn out to be one of biggest oil fields in world and the document will suggest a precondition that industries in the region should be guaranteed gas.
Andhra has a long coast line of 950 km and development will be high even if half of the potential of four proposed projects of Petrochemical zone, Kakinada SEZ, Vadarevu-Nizampatnam port industrial corridor and mega power projects near Nellore and Srikakulam is realised. The document will seek immediate funding for the proposed eight- lane road along the coast, completion of Polavaram project, launching of BHEL-NTPC project.

Most of the CMs of AP have been from SeemaAndhra. All the candidates picked and elected by the ruling party are always 'Yes Men'. Opposition MLAs like Harish Rao are always shouted down when they raise issues. Now you're asking what the MLAs were doing.
So far, I've only witnessed ultimatums, call for agitations, bandhs etc. from politicians pressing for separate Telangana state. What do they plan to do if and when a separate state is formed? I believe residents of Telangana are entitled to see a clear agenda of these politicians as to how they propose to develop the new state.
If the politicions does this they will be doing again one more mistake...the development mentioned here will take atleast another 20 years and why should the people loose the land which they have already developed for the past 30 plus years ( Hyderabad)....again if the division happens in my opinon congress will not win any elections for another decaded in both the regions...
Now u guys realise and are thinking of development. If there is any state that can become a country in India it is is Punjab and AP. Now since it is divided we dont have that status but yes growth is abundance. Andhra will be a fine example.. better than Gujarat. Veyyandi ra andaru oka chaiyee... let Telangana know what their broken heart brother can do. I am very unhappy with TRS. Instead of talking nicely they want to manhandle all Andhras residing in hyderabad. Andhras who contributed so much to Hyderabad development are not looking good for them. I pity telanganites. Leaders are hijacking them into bad future. KCR will in time to come will be considered as biggest hopeless man for Telangana.
Good idea - Are the Telangana Congress leaders & ministers listening? Would they care to lift a pen and write a word on development schemes and plans for Telangana? Or would they continue with their merry making ways of yore? Come on wake up honchos - get to work for your own benefit. more work and new projects mean more commission and more deals. Start work, ministers & leaders of Telangana - follow the Andhras.
What are the Telangana leaders doing? Sleeping and protesting? If the Telangana leaders have made an effort to develop then we would have been in a good state. Rather people are supporting this selfish Telangana politicians for their interest.
After Telangana is formed these Telangana leaders again blame the center or some one or the other for their non-performance. And again those foolish students will be supporting these people. Telangana will become like Jharkhand/Chattisghar/Uttranchal. Only corruption, no development.
