KCR vows rightful share for Muslims
Hyderabad, Feb. 7: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Sunday said he supported providing reservation to Muslims in proportion to their population in Telangana. “The reservations will be on the lines of those in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
Addressing a public meeting “Telangana Garajna” organised by the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind at Nizam College grounds here, Mr Rao said, “The sea of Muslims here should clear all doubts in the minds of the Union home minister and others. This meeting is crucial: it upsets the claims of Andhra leaders that Muslims were against Telangana and sends a clear message to the Centre.”
Starting his speech with a sher-o-shayari in Urdu, Mr Rao jeered at the Andhra leaders’ inability to speak Urdu properly. “I have seen our Chief Ministers from Andhra wishing ‘Ood Mubarak’ instead of Id Mubarak,” he said.
Mr Rao pointed out that Muslim percentage in government jobs has dipped from 36 per cent to one.
“Not even one per cent of the state budget is given to the minority welfare department. Don’t Muslims pay taxes?” he asked.
Mr Rao said he will fight for at least 12 per cent reservation for Muslims in employment and education sectors, and the Assembly apart from local bodies.
Professor Kancha Ilaiah and Balladeer Gaddar demanded that the first Chief Minister of Telangana should either be from the SC, ST, BC, or Muslim community. “The T leaders should make their stand clear on this issue,” they said.

This means all Muslims apart from Telangana should come to Telangana. They should not be allowed outside Telangana. Let everyone come to Nizam state of Hyderabad, then take Telangana as Muslims will have reservations here.
Hello KCR - It is right move to propose the reservations for Muslims. Make it 15%, why 12%? They also need to grow up. Some Hindu guys with closed minds wiill protest but they cannot do anything. We are with you.
Just the recipe what Pakis wants! The telanganite leader is starting a "liberation struggle" to create a "homeland" for Muslims. It would become a jihad exploited by Pakistan. Forget about Hyderabad which could become battleground with imported holy warriors.
The leaders and intellectuals of Telangana should focus on sustaining the on going struggle and achieve the long cherished goal of separate Telangana. Now the struggle has reached the critical phase after costing more than 600 precious lives and enormous resources. The demand of Professor Kancha Ilaiah and Balladeer Gaddar for making chief minister from SC, ST, BC, or Muslim community for Telangana state in future is not out of context, but certainly not appropriate at this juncture as it leads to divisions among the JAC and weakens the struggle, as evident from the public meeting at Warangal organized by the KU students JAC. The leader should remember the now or never phase of the struggle, and work united with out any preconditions until the goal of separate Telangana is achieved.
