Hyderabad, Dec. 14: The Union government’s decision to bifurcate the state has left various business enterprises and industry players worried. They fear the state’s progress will be adversely hit.

Saying that crores worth of business activity will be hampered in Hyderabad and other places, the business houses said they should be involved in the dialogue process on the state’s bifurcation.

“We have decided to approach the Union government to discuss the various implications if the state is divided. The government is only worried about the political issue. However, the problems of the business community and the industries in the state should not be neglected. Therefore, the government should consult us before taking any decision on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh,” said Mr G. Subba Rao, the president of Vijayawada Chambers of Commerce and Industry. “If the government fails to address the concerns of the business community, the livelihood of traders, businessmen and their employees will be at stake.”

The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Andhra Pradesh chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA) and other organisations have expressed concern over the Centre’s initiative on separate a Telangana state.

Good idea. By the way I was very curious where people like me fall into?

I am born in Andhra (as my parents are from
Andhra), completely brought up in Union Territory, married to a Telangana person, my son is born in Union Territory again!! My family has properties if any only in Union Territory :)

Really this is foolishness of the government of India to take such a decision of bifurcating the state of Andhra Pradesh. Almost all the business concerns have come to Andhra Pradesh but not to Telangana. Separation of Telangana was sought by Mr K.Chandrasekhar Rao, a wavering man not having control on his own decision. Apart from the above how did government of India believe that he has done Satyagraha - that too in a hospital under export doctors' care. This decision of separation should be really taken with the business community also as they have invested and employing so many people and giving the livelihood.

move to china, where you have stable goverment

All the major parties agitating for separate T should make sure that the business community's fears are allied. And i would like to tell them that we general Telangana people are most hospitable people, anyone can keep doing their development work in our T state without any trouble. One should fear only if his intentions are wrong!
