Illegal assets worth Rs 4 cr unearthed from 2 babus

Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday unearthed disproportionate assets worth of about Rs 4 crore belonging to two state government officials while three other employees were arrested in different corruption cases in Andhra Pradesh.

The ACB sleuths here, conducted simultaneous searches at the office and residence of deputy engineer-in-chief Ankam Rajulu and found that the officer was in possession of disproportioante assets of over Rs 3 crore.

A case was registered against Rajulu who was working in Roads and Building department, according to a release from ACB here.

In Warangal district, the officials of ACB found that B. Satyanarayana, a superintendent of engineer in irrigation department and attached to SRSP Kakatiya canal has amassed disproportinate assets of about Rs 1 crore to his known sources of income. They conducted searches at his residence.

The ACB personnel arrested Anakam Srinadha Swamy and S. Nageshwar Rao, both Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDO) working in West Godavari and Prakasham district respectively and Boga Narender, a surveyor at Armoor Tahsildar office in Nizamabad district while accepting bribes.
