Dec. 8: The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, on Tuesday, said the Congress high command is seized of the Telangana issue and it will take steps accordingly.
Speaking to newspersons, Mr Rosaiah said he had submitted the report based on the inputs he received on the Telangana issue from leaders of all parties in the meeting held on Monday.
“I don’t know why they asked me to convene an all-party meeting. I have submitted the report as sought by the party high command. It is now up to them to act on it,” he said.
Replying to a question, he said the high command did not direct him to introduce a resolution on Telangana state in the Assembly. “Where is the necessity for the high command to ask me to move a resolution in the House. In case they decide on Telangana statehood, they can straightaway
initiate steps from the Centre. There is no need for the Assembly,” he said.
When asked about the problem faced by the government to introduce the resolution, the Chief Minister said, “if it is voted out in the House, I will be forced to step down. Anyway the question of moving the resolution does not arise as the high command has not asked for it.”
Mr Rosaiah will fly to New Delhi on Wednesday morning to greet the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, on her birthday. He will also meet party Central leaders to discuss the latest situation in Telangana and the fast-unto-death agitation by the TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

This whole agitation for seperate Telangana appears so silly. I want to compare KCR to a crying baby but babies are too innocent and have no knowledge of what they are doing. So I would say KCR is behaving like a terrorist who is keeping hostage the peace of the entire state ad threatening for his own selfish reasons. Fearing his death, if the high command agrees to his demands and gives a seperate Telangana, then this would be the begining of such agitations. More and more selfish politicians will come up asking for seperate states. Clearly the Indian politics is going into the drain. As an Indian and a resident of Andhra Pradesh, I would urge not to entertain this kind of silly politics. I respect Mahatma Gandhiji who also used the same strategy to kick Britisher's out of our country but this is totally inacceptable. This man KCR is trying to split our state and lets not allow this to happen. Andhra Pradesh as a whole is rich and self sufficient in a lot of aspects, so lets not divide that and have pieces that are all insufficient.
