Hyderabad: Holding the BJP and the Congress "equally responsible" for the demolition of Babri structure in Ayodhya, Telugu Desam Party president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday demanded necessary action be taken against the guilty as per the recommendations of the Liberhan commission.
Mr Naidu said while the BJP was responsible for the demolition of the Babri structure, the Congress was equally responsible for failing to stop the demolition despite being in power at the Centre in 1992.
"The then Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao could not take any action even as the Kar Sevaks went about their demolition act," Mr Naidu alleged.
He said the demolition of the Babri structure had become a "sentimental" issue. "Had it not been demolished, communal harmony would have prevailed in the country. All the subsequent incidents were a fallout of Babri demolition," the TDP chief observed.
He held the Centre responsible for the "leak" of the commission's report. Whether the Babri structure should be reconstructed, Mr Naidu said, "Everything should be done in accordance with the Supreme Court verdict on the dispute."

Certainly Congress can take the credit from Hindus for demolition but not willing to share consequences of demolition. This is secularism of Congress in India.
