4 towns in E. Godavari to get piped gas

For the first time in Andhra Pradesh Domestic gas consumers in four towns of East Godavari district - Kakinada, Samalkota, Pithapuram and Peddapuram — will be provided gas through pipeline shortly, the District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwiwedi said on Wednesday.

The Collector said that an agreement in this regard has been reached with Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL), jointly managed by Gas Authority of India (GAIL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to supply domestic gas to consumers through pipelines in four towns — Kakinada, Samalkota, Pithapuram and Peddapuram.

The Agency's name was finalized in the meeting, he added.
