Hyderabad, Dec. 25: The 13 Congress ministers hailing from Telananga region quit the state cabinet on Friday but sent a “common resignation letter” to the Congress chief, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, signalling that it was more of a pressure tactic than a serious move.

Sources said that the ministers, who met at Ms D.K. Aruna’s chamber, felt that if they submitted their resignation letters to the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, an angry party high command may ask him to accept them.

After discussion, the ministers, Ms Geetha Reddy, Ms Sabita Indra Reddy, Ms Suneetha Laxma Reddy, Ms D.K.Aruna, Mr Ponnala Laxmaiah, Mr Sreedhar Babu, Mr Ramreddy Venkata Reddy, Mr Damodar Raja Narasimha, Mr Sudarshan Reddy, Mr Danam Nagender, Mr Mukesh Goud and Mr Jupalli Krishna Rao, felt that faxing a combined resignation letter to the Congress president would be a better option.

Though the letter might not be taken seriously, it would soothe the emotions of students and other groups which have been agitating for separate Telangana, they felt. The ministers then formally met Mr Rosaiah and conveyed their decision to him.

“We resigned to tell the people that we are more concerned about Telangana than ministerial berths,” said the minister for irrigation, Mr Ponnala Laxmaiah.

Experts, meanwhile, said that the ‘common resignation letter’ was not valid legally as it was not sent to the Chief Minister or the Governor.

“The party is different from the government and so the letter sent to the AICC president cannot be accepted until it is sent to the Governor through the Chief Minister,” said Prof. V. Ravindra Shastri, head of the political science department of Osmania University. “They might have done it to tell the party high command about the seriousness of the problem.”

The president of the Bar Council of the Andhra Pradesh HC, Mr A. Narasimha Reddy, also said that such a letter had no legal validity. The ministers who resigned are unwilling to discard the facilities being provided by the government. They continued to move in government vehicles along with gunmen even after “quitting” the Cabinet. They have also sought an appointment with Mrs Gandhi to explain the situation in the region after the second statement of the Union home minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, on T formation. The chief whip, Mr Bhatti Vikramarka, has also put in his papers.

Telangana ministers signing a common resignation letter and sending to Sonia Gandhi indicates their anxiety to stay put in their posts. Their talkings about separate Telangana is humbug. If they are serious about sacrificing their positions to achieve Telangana, they should have submitted individual letters addressed to Chief Minister. This indicates the hollowness in their demand. For Telangana ministers positions of power is more dear than the cause of Telangana. Why this farce? Let people know what kind of people they have elected and their rulers???

These 13 people need to go away. Replace with new crew in the cabinet. Crew should be from Telengana, Rayalaseema and Andhra equally. Put KCR, Jeevan Reddy, and Nagam Dhanarjan Reddy in prison. Impose presidential rule. Give police shoot at sight orders if anyone found guilty of robbing, damaging transportation. Save poor and needy india. They are the back bone of the nation.

So is the High Command as is the ministers .All these ministers are not even fit to become class IV employees in GHMC Both parties concerned are resorting to shadow boxing.
Leaders of this type are in plenty with their street acts and hasnot even care to bother about the people . If Telangana become a reality these ministers will again have greater powers. It is sad that not even one person is keeping the country's interest as a priority

This is the end of the legacy, the state of Annapurna, the state of information technology and many more, has at last fell apart for the political conspiracies. A Political Drama, run by corrupted Politicians and the central blunder taken with out thinking about the possible out comes.
How come such a leader ship makes this kind of blunders? Has there been any advantage of political/financial for central congress leadership.

After Late Dr.YSR death the state has become a puppet show, who ever want thy started playing with it. I believe due the Political sensitive it is very difficult to manage the state, but this seems to be more political personal interest’s protests run by corrupted politicians who are seeing a lot of financial interests in future if at all AP is divided.

The question to the Leadership, has the state with 8crores does not have a single good leader, who can bring this state on to the track, is there no one who can bring out the KCR and other leaders to justice who had created such a mess in and out of AP.

There are many more people out there who are from Telanga/Andhra/Rayalaseema who see no future for then in the state, they see the MNC no more want to come to Hyderabad, who see no Employment and industrial opportunities in the state and opt to be out of state. As a common man many people can only watch the Great Andhra Pradesh Burning in helpless condition hoping to see some Good days coming in once again.

This is a voice of an Indian common man from Andhra Pradesh, who is in a helpless condition requesting the MEDIA, the sensible people out there, Start campaigning for no more small states, rather start looking out to the world like Europe where people who are become ONE to have a better life and society

If the 13 ministers who sent their `common resignation letter' are really serious, they would have submitted their individual quit letters to the Chief Minister or the Governor. By sending a letter which is legally invalid, according to legal experts, it is clear the ministers do not want to lose their ministerial posts or the MLA post and the many privilieges and perks that go with them. It amounts to bluffing and cheating Telangana people again by the Congress.

Whatever things going on in AP now are mirror od showing personal oriented politics and not at all development oriented. Now AP is leading the whole country in such politics. They didn't even go back to take our politics into the sreets of Washington DC. With that America can easily understand what type of development we need in our state now.
