Check out 1069 dancing robots creating a world record
Dance is an activity that livens up the world anytime. It’s an expression of one’s self hidden beneath. Since robots are slowly invading every aspect of human life, it was time that these smart computers made an impression in the world of arts and dance on a scale so large that it would create a world record. Therefore, China became their stage to show what a bunch of plastic-skinned motherboards and sensors can do when the music is queued. (Photos: Guinness World Records)
To take the stage, Dobi — a humanoid robot 47cm tall, tasked itself with gathering more than 1069 of its brothers and learned some dance moves.
Till the end of the dance, only 1069 robots stood on their feet as some of them fell over and weren’t counted. This is still impressive, considering their humanoid form factor.
WL Tech’s 1069 Dobi robots broke the record of a 1007 robots made by Ever Win Company dancing together.
The robots were choreographed on a particular song, with moves that an expert human dancer would do according to the beats.
While the sight of a more than thousand robots dancing together is certainly cute, it also points to the decreasing relevance of humans in every field.
