Abhirami Suresh is set to make her film debut with a bilingual 'Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane'

Abhirami Suresh, sister of Idea Star Singer fame Amrita Suresh and sister-in-law of actor-director Bala is all set to make her mark in tinsel town with her latest film Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane, a bilingual directed by S.S. Kumaran slated to hit the theatres on January 31.

The songs of the movie, penned by Vairamuthu have already topped the charts. “The songs have been well-appreciated by audience. I hope the movie will garner the same appreciation,” says Abhirami who plays a Malayali Muslim girl Nisha who aspires to become Miss Kerala, in the film.

The movie is a bilingual comedy and talks about the culture of both States in a different manner. “My dialogues are both in Malayalam and Tamil. Hence, it will cater to both audiences,” she adds. She will be seen opposite to Abi Saravanan (of Kutti Puli fame) in the movie.

Abhirami had a great time shooting Kerala Nattilam Pengaludane. “Shooting was fun with my co-actors Gayathri and Dikshitha. Since we are all of the same age, we enjoyed working together,” says Ahirami.

She is a model, who ventured into acting with the soap for children Hello Kuttichathan. “During my sister’s reality programme I imitated Sarath Sir. Seeing this, the producer of the serial Hello Kuttichathan offered me the role.”

Abhirami, a diploma holder in acting, is busy with her untitled romantic music album. “I love to experiment. The music album is my dream project. Composition and orchestration of the album are complete. I am planning to work on it after wrapping up the shooting.”

She has signed a new movie with director Vaira Bala opposite Siddharth.

Ask her if she has any plans to work in more Malayalam films, she says, “I have many offers from Malayalam industry. But I will act in Malayalam movies only if I get an apt role.” She is proud of her brother-in-law Bala and values his support and advice to improve her chances in her career.

Abhirami was seen in the movie Keralotsavam in 2009.
