Forget all the controversy over the nuke tests, we don't need a hydrogen bomb!

Why do we need a hydrogen bomb? It could not prevent the Kargil war, nor the 26/11 terror attacks. India can never use a nuclear weapon against a terrorist. Let's forget about nukes, let's put the money into welfare schemes.

I keep on hearing that people in India are starving. In Reality there is shortage of people who are willing to do hard work which will give them all the basic needs. Do me a favor, if somebody comes across people/person who is starving for lack of work and is willing to work please pass on the details to me(svreddi@yahoo.com) atleast I can save them from starving provided they are willing to work.

I feel India needs a hydrogen bomb. India also needs to feed its citizens even it the drought.....etc. Sir, if you remember "AHIMSA" can be practiced only if you are poved powerful in "HIMSA". Lord Ram offered peace to Demon King Ravan only because he knew he would win. Similiarly we can talk of peace only when we have proved superior Militarly.

Sir, the other point I will like to say is that all needs cannot be satisfied so having hydrogen bomb is essential but at what cost! We cannot kill half the population of India(by starvation in drought) and achieve Hydrogen bomb! I mean we must enlist all the wants and then put the priority. It is inappropriate to discuss a point in isolation without discussing the related issues.

We don't need a bomb, we don't need guns, we don't need an army. We have terrorists entering from Pak and Bangladesh. We all know what kind of a stance these countries have against India. China is building ports in Sri Lanka which can be converted to naval bases anytime, they already have bases in Pakistan. So what do you see? We are being encircled by these hostile countries. But we do not need the bomb. Our leaders, I am very ashamed to say, do not have the guts to take desisions. God forbid if India is attacked any time what do we do? Oh yes we will resort to satyagraha. We will starve ourselves till the enemy leaves. Nice. No bomb please, we are Indians!!!

As there is a saying "A country which is not strong enough to defend itself will make its citizens' life miserable", so i think its good to spend such a huge amount on that bomb. And moreover if the govt even tried to spend it for the poor people, everyone knows that it ultimately reaches the politician's valet. In this race towards supremacy i think we i.e the govt, should concentrate on what others don't have instead of making the same recipe that everyone have.

We must possess all types of weapons and I would say invent more damaging and sophisticated to maintain our edge. Not only for attack but also defence such as early warning systems, missile shields. Strengthen our espionage dept., change our foreign policy to be more direct and assertive.Strengthen our internal security by giving more sophisticated weaponry to police, crush all internal uprisings, like communalism, naxalism. Make a statement to the world that you are strong within and outside. Don't talk like a senile guy. If you dream about utopia go into woods or mountains and meditate and reach the supreme. When you live in this world, be upto it and face it as a man. Don't preach weakness. This world is not for the faint-hearted..

People like you make India lose... we need a hydrogen bomb more importantly today than even welfare schemes or food
