She’s been a darling of Kannada cinema. Now, Ranya Rao, who’s made a mark with her earlier films Maanikya and Pataki, is all set to make her debut in Tollywood. She will be a leading lady, along with Sneha Ullal, for Ayushman Bhava, directed by Charan Tej.
Ranya shares, “I am glad to make my debut in a happening industry like Tollywood. It’s a great opportunity to showcase my acting prowess.”
Ask the Chikmagalur girl what made her say yes to the film, she replies, “The script and my portrayal”, adding, “The role gives me an opportunity to be different. Plus, it is always exciting to debut in a new industry. Working with new people from a different culture gives a new perspective on filmmaking.”
The actress made her Tamil debut too with Wagah. “Both my debut films in Kannada and Tamil Maanikya and Wagah have been well-received. I am hoping for a similar response in my Telugu debut too,” says Ranya, who will join the sets soon.
