Sukumar to debut in Bollywood?

The director is keen to foray into Bollywood with a remake of one of his own Telugu films.

Director Sukumar’s recent hit Rangasthalam starring Ram Charan went on to become one of the biggest hits in the industry. The filmmaker, who is currently penning a script for Mahesh Babu’s next, is now apparently considering going to Bollywood with a remake of one of his Telugu films.

Although the director has been mulling over a Hindi debut from a long time, he wasn’t sure about the timing of his foray. But with Rangasthalam becoming a sensation, he feels that the time is now right.

Although the director is still undecided on which film to remake in Hindi, writer and director Vijayendra Prasad (Rajamouli’s father) will be presenting the film.
When prodded on who might star in the film, Vijayendra Prasad says, “Sukumar wants to direct a Hindi film, a remake of his own Telugu directorial. I am supporting the film. But it is still in the nascent stage and might take some more time to get a better picture.”
