Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija will marry childhood friend Kalyan on Monday at 9.13 am in the superstar’s farmhouse in Bengaluru.
Sunday was the sangeet wherein both Srija and Kalyan danced to some of Chiru’s top numbers. The medley started with Guvva Gorinkatho..., followed by other popular numbers such as Subhalekha Rasukunna Edalo, Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju... and Aunty Koothura Ammo Apsara...
“The couple danced to these and there were 20 other songs. All the heroes of the family, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej and Nagababu, too, danced,” revealed a source.
Special guests
There were two special guests at the sangeet. Rana Daggubati, who flew in straight from the birthday celebrations of Jay Galla in Japan, and Akhil Akkineni, Nagarjuna’s younger son. “Both actors also danced,” added the source.
Other than members of both families, senior director K. Raghavendra Rao, who is very close to the family, also attended.
From the Kannada industry, actress Sumalatha and her husband, actor and state minister Ambareesh, will be attending the wedding.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Ram Charan celebrated his birthday and a few close friends of his who had visited to wish him will stay on for the wedding.
Outfits
Srija wore a stunning Shravan outfit for the morning mehendi ceremony and chose a Sabyasachi design for the sangeet. Indrakshi Ria Pattanaik is the family’s stylist for the wedding.
