Model-turned-actress Payal Wadhwa is testing her luck in films and will soon make her acting debut in Pedavi Datani Matokatundi directed by debutant Guru Prasad. Interestingly, Payal worked as a teacher for six years before taking the plunge into showbiz.
“I always wanted to become an actress since childhood, but my parents wanted me to complete my education first. So after graduation, I worked for six years as a teacher and eventually gave a shot at films,” she says, adding, “I started off with modelling, did a few commercials and eventually landed my debut film in Telugu.”
Born in Gujarat and raised in Delhi, Payal says that she likes being in front of the camera. “I thoroughly enjoyed the whole filmmaking process and shooting for the film has been amazing,” she gushes.
Talking about her role in the romantic entertainer, Payal shares, “It’s a character that every girl can connect to. I play Aahana, a free spirited girl who loves to pursue her dreams and likes to do creative things like graffiti, painting, etc. I’m like that in real life too, so I could connect to the role easily.” ayal adds that she loves watching South films and is a big fan of Allu Arjun and Prabhas.
