The makers of Suriya starrer Singam 3 once again announced their release date as February 9. The film was supposed to release on January 26, but got postponed due to the Jallikattu protests in Tamil Nadu. Interestingly, the film is releasing in Telugu too as Suriya gets good openings here also.
Initially, the film’s release was planned for December 16, but was postponed on the request of producer Allu Aravind, whose Dhruva released on December 9. Since then, the film has been postponed several times and now February 9 is the new release date.
The earlier two Singam films were big hits and thus, the Telugu version was grabbed by Malkapuram Sivakumar for nearly Rs 18 crore. “There are no other big releases on the same date, so the producer is happy that he will get good openings and recover his money,” says a source.
