What better example of an empowered married actress than Samantha?

Telugu superstar Nagarjuna is a proud father-in-law. He couldn’t be happier that actress Samantha Akkineni (nee Ruth Prabhu), who married his son Naga Chaitanya earlier this year, continues to rule the box office.

“Samantha’s career is on a roll. In fact, all three of her releases post-marriage Mersel, Rangasthalam, and Mahanati have been super hits. It just goes to show how wrong people are when they presume that an actress’ career suffers a setback after marriage. What better example of an empowered married actress than Samantha?” he says.

Samantha, who is known for winning hearts, has definitely won over her in-laws. “She has fit into the family without any effort. Actually, she had become a part of our family even before marrying my son. Marriage just meant a change of residence for her. Otherwise, everything remains the same,” Nag says.

He goes on to add that his son’s happiness is of paramount importance to him. “What I find very reassuring is that even after marriage my son and Samantha are just as much in love as they were before. You can see the adoring looks for each other in their eyes,” he says.

A family film featuring Nag, his two sons and his daughter-in-law is said to be on the anvil. “But I have to find the right script. It has to be the perfect story that does justice to all of us. The search is on,” Nagarjuna says.
