People looked at me like I was mad: Rana Daggubati

He said that he has also shown the film to Karan Johar, who has decided to distribute it in Hindi.

Rana Daggubati recently revealed a few interesting things that happened after he signed the film Ghazi. At a promotional event on Tuesday, he said that people laughed at him when he initially talked about the project.

“After Baahubali, when I chose this underwater war film, except for S.S. Rajamouli, many put me down. When I told my friends that I am doing a submarine war film, many looked at me like I was mad,” revealed Rana.

He added that in the last 20 years, he has formed a special bond with Visakhapatnam and he has seen the Ghazi ship many times without knowing its story.

“When I heard that Sankalp had a script on Ghazi, I read up about it. I don’t think even people from Vizag know much about the ship and its story,” said Rana.
He said that he has also shown the film to Karan Johar, who has decided to distribute it in Hindi.

“That’s a big assurance that we are making a good film. After Baahubali, everyone is taking notice of the kind of films we are making. I am happy that they are now interested in Ghazi,” said Rana.
