Aditi Seiya on her Bollywood debut

The actor admits, however, that Telugu will always remain her first love.

While moviegoers are waiting for Rajkumar Hirani’s forthcoming biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt with much anticipation, Tollywood’s Aditi Seiya (aka Siya Gautham) of Nenitha and Vedam fame, who plays Priya Dutt, Sanjay Dutt’s sister, shares her experience of working in the movie.

“I went through several articles and videos to understand her body language and how she looks, and then I just followed Hirani’s instructions. Shooting for the movie has been an enriching experience. Apparently, Priya told Hirani that I look exactly like her,” says Aditi.

Having played leading roles down South, Aditi says she has no qualms playing a sibling. “I think we are progressing and can’t be stereotyped. Look at Priyanka Chopra’s contrasting roles in Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani. I want to do impactful roles.”

The actor admits, however, that Telugu will always remain her first love. “I have become choosy in Telugu, but it remains my first love. I have learnt everything I know about cinema in South, be it punctuality, discipline or hard work. I have great memories of working with filmmakers like Krish and Puri Jagannadh. I am still in touch with them. What I am today is because of Telugu cinema,” she concludes.
