Certain decisions boost actors’ careers beyond expectations, as evident from top Telugu actors’ stints as reality shows hosts on TV.
First, it was Nagarjuna, who hosted Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, taking the channel it aired in to new heights, also leading to his films garnering lot of attention. Same is the case with Jr NTR now as he hosts Bigg Boss. Not only is the show on top, but it is also helping him personally.
“One can see the funny side of NTR through the show, which has scaled new heights courtesy his hosting,” says a source. Apparently, he has now been approached to host a second season of the show! “He seems keen to continue for another season,” reveals the source.
The show is timed right with the actor’s film Jai Lava Kusa releasing on September 21. “He feels the show will help attract a new set of audiences,” adds the source. Directed by Bobby, the film is nearing completion. “A song on NTR and Raashi Khanna is being shot now,” says the source.
NTR is being paid nearly Rs 7 crore for the reality show, which could be hiked further for the second season.
