Anu Emmanuel says its intense with a bit of kick

Maha Samudram actress describes the flick

When Anu Emmanuel saw RX100, she instantly loved it and wanted to do a film with director Ajay Bhupathi. Two years later, she got a call from Bhupathi for an important role in his Maha Samudram. No wonder the actress is excited!

“After a pretty long narration I was intrigued with the screenplay and the twist in the story. I felt this would be the kind of film that I would enjoy, intense with a bit of kick. Since I found my character very interesting yet different, I was elated to come on board,” Anu explains.

With Maha Samudram, which also stars Sharwanand and Siddharth, being her first film after the lockdown, the actress shares that the pandemic has taught her quite a few lessons.

“I have been staying alone in Hyderabad for about four years now, so I did not miss home much, although I did miss work and the hustle and bustle, which I never thought I would. The lockdown has definitely made everyone pause for a while, but I have realised who is important in my life and what is important enough to focus on,” she shares, adding that she also got time to speak to her family a lot more during this period.

“Also, the lockdown made me love my work a bit more; the time off has been very refreshing for me,” she says.
