While she’s currently shooting for her Telugu and Kannada films, Tanya Hope’s Tamil debut Thadam, is gearing for release next month. Starring Arun Vijay, the film is directed by Magizh Thirumeni.
Talking about the project, Tanya says, “It’s a suspense film and I’ll be seen as an independent woman and a working professional. The film is about how the ideologies of two independently raised working professionals meet, fall in love and how a series of events transpire. The director was inspired by real-life incidents while penning the roles of the lead pair.”
For someone who is energetic in real life, how difficult was is to play a subdued role?
“It was challenging and I had to unlearn a few things for my part. And to make the role look authentic, the director asked me not put on makeup. So, for the first time ever, I was without makeup on the sets. Also, I picked up some Tamil during the shooting.”
