SS Rajamouli to fly to London

The director recently met with AP state CM to work out the details of the state's new capital city.

On the request of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, director S.S. Rajamouli will fly to the United Kingdom in the second week of October. He will reach London to discuss the final designs of Andhra Pradesh’s new capital city, Amaravati. The duo met on Wednesday and elaborately discussed what they were looking for. It was in the same meeting that the CM told Rajamouli to check out the designs prepared by London-based architect firm Norman Foster, and provide his inputs.

“Naidu felt the designs aren’t living up to the ethos and culture of the Telugu people and wanted someone to add that touch. And that’s why Rajamouli is to reach the company’s London headquarters on October 12, along with an entourage of key team members from the AP government who are in charge of the project,” said a source in the know.
