My character in RGG2 is inspired by a real person, says Nagarjuna

Nagarjuna opens up about his first experience of working on a horror comedy film and elaborates on his character.

On the occasion of his late father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s birthday on Wednesday, the trailer of Nagarjuna’s upcoming film Raju Gari Gadhi 2 was launched. This is the first time the actor is trying his hand at horror comedy. He says, “I worked on this film with a lot of excitement as this is a new genre for me. There is talk about my role being a short one in the film, but that isn’t true. I will be seen throughout the film! It’s my film, no one else’s.” Nagarjuna added that director Ohmkar managed everything for the film.

“My character is inspired by a real person in Kerala and there are some scenes that happened in real life. I even met the person when he visited Hyderabad. He had asked me to think any four words in my head and after a few minutes of reading my face, he revealed what those words were! He has even helped the police in criminal cases. People approach him if they lose something important in their house, and he helps them find it,” says Nagarjuna about his role.

Revealing that he has not dubbed for the role yet, the actor shares, “I want to see the graphics completely before dubbing. Sometimes, the guys working on the graphics end up delaying things and in the last minute they compromise on quality. There have been a few instances where the graphics were very bad after the release! So I don’t want to take it easy.”

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna was spotted with a shaved moustache at the event, and it is rumoured that this is his look for an upcoming film.
