Actress Anu Emmanuel, who made an award-winning debut in Tollywood with Majnu a couple of years back, subsequently went on to feature in another hit film Kittu Unnadu Jagratha. And although she bagged plum projects starring Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun, the actress is choosy when it comes to picking films.
“I don’t think I am slow, I just want to take it one at a time. I want to work in the industry for a long time, so I am in no hurry to sign projects. I don’t do a project unless it feels right. But I am happy with my career graph and the way it is progressing,” explains Anu, who will next be seen opposite Naga Chaitanya in family drama Sailaja Reddy Alludu, directed by Maruthi.
“It’s an interesting role and I play an egoistic girl with attitude. It’s a role that I haven’t enacted thus far and so I took up the project. Shooting for the film has been a great experience,” she reveals.
The Oxygen actress has become synonymous with girl-next-door roles. Ask her if she’s game portraying glamorous roles, and she replies, “Glamour is in the mindset, you can still look glamorous with your attitude. But yes, there’s a very fine line between glamour and vulgarity.”
