The recently released first look poster of Shruti Haasan’s next Sangamithra, that also stars Jayam Ravi and Arya in the lead roles, is being received well. The makers officially launched the film and unveiled the first look at the ongoing 70th edition of the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday,
The poster features a concept art of Shruti, who plays a warrior princess in the film, riding a horse with a sword in hand. Shruti has been preparing for the role for long now and is training in sword fighting. To be directed by Sundar C., the film will be made on a budget of Rs150 crore. The trilingual historic drama will be based in the 8th century AD and is a production of Sri Thenandal Studios. A.R. Rahman is scoring music for the film.
