Having impressed the audience with intriguing performances in her earlier films, Sakshi Chaudhary is excited to woo viewers with yet another role. In her forthcoming film, U Pe Ku Ha, the actress will be donning the role of a homemaker, and is paired opposite Rajendra Prasad in the Nidhi Prasad directorial.
“I’m playing a homemaker for the first time and the role comes like a breath of fresh air after having played a lover girl and a tomboy earlier. This role offered a different kind of portrayal for me; so I picked it up.”
Interestingly, Sakshi is also a part of the action sequences in the film. “I have a couple of action sequences and pulling them off wearing a sari is all the more fun. The plot also has elements of love and accentuates family values. Working with Rajendra Prasad was a great experience too. He is a pro when it comes to comedy timing and I was able to pick up nuances of the art from him.”
Ask her whether she is happy with the way her career is progressing, “I am happy,” she replies, adding, “There isn’t a conscious effort to do specific roles and films, but I see whether the role offered is meaty and has scope to excel. Sometimes the roles has shades of glamour and at times, the focus is more on the performance; so the challenge lies in striking a fine balance between the two.”
