With another problem knocking on the filmmaker’s door, time does not seem to be in the favour of filmmaker Boyapati Srinu. After the ugly spat between Boyapati and producer D.V.V. Danayya where the latter demanded compensation for the failure of their film, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, we have now learned that Boyapati has been asked to return advance by another producer.
A leading production house had given Boyapati an advance amount to make a film for them some time ago. However, the director and the production house both found themselves caught up in fulfilling their respective commitments and could not find the opportunity to collaborate.
Now rumours are rife that the production house has asked director Boyapati to return the advance amount.
Grapevine points out that the reason for asking him to return the advance is the debacle surrounding Ram Charan starrer Vinaya Vidheya Rama. A source informs, “Boyapati is an established director with blockbusters to his credit, and he need not prove himself. While success and failures are part of life, the director is now determined to silence the critics and wants his next film (starring Balakrishna) to do the talking.”
