Visakhapatnam: Kethireddy Jagadishwara Reddy, film director of “Lakshmi’s Veera Grandham” has sought police protection on Friday. In a letter to the Chief Minister, he claimed that YSRCP leader Laksmi Parvathi has threatened him with dire consequences if he did not stop shooting the film that is based on her life story.
“I have received a threatening message from Laksmi Parvathi with abusive language. She has challenged me to continue directing this film,” he said. “She is making wild allegation about me and the film producer and is infringing on my right to freedom of expression,”he added. Reddy claims that she openly proclaimed that she can do anything to him and his crew with the support she has and her following of anti-social elements.
He requested that the cops appoint a gunman for himself and his unit until the completion of the film as he will be moving to different places to extract the real life stories and facts about the story. The story of this film is related to the life of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao and Lakshmi Parvathi.
