The teaser of Ravi Teja’s upcoming film, Raja The Great was recently released. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film sees the actor as a visually challenged man. The teaser also shows the actor indulging in a form of martial art.
And the character’s traits in the sneak peek are interestingly similar to that of the lead character in the 1989 English film Blind Fury. It looks like the Telugu director has been heavily inspired by that film.
In the Samurai action film directed by Phillip Noyce, Rutger Hauer plays the protagonist who is blind man, who loses his eyesight while working as a soldier in a war.
While the Telugu version may have a different backdrop, the director seems to have taken the plot line from the English film. Also, there is plenty of drama in the English film which could easily be adapted to suit the Telugu audiences.
